The Chinchilla by Harold Medow

Recommended Reading

Below are some books and publishing we have accumulated over the years. Several were written from first-hand experience from those with decades of chinchilla ranching knowledge. All of these reading materials are a bit older, some knowledge may have changed slightly into what is recommended today. These books provide insight into the history of chinchilla farming and care. If you are interested in the history of chinchilla husbandry and would like further knowledge into it, these publishing's may be useful.

Please be wary of a lot of information found on the internet, there is quite a bit of misinformation circulating regarding how to properly care for chinchillas. Here at Sunshine Chinchillas, we get our information from over a decade of first-hand experience, knowledge from fellow breeders and ranchers, and research we have done with older reading materials such as these that are full of history and information.
